Great hotel
Blown away by how nice this place was for the price we paid. The Onsen at the top is lovely with great views. Very close to the castle and gardens.

What was the highlight of Mitsui Garden Hotel Kanazawa
Good value for a short stay.
I thought this was a great value (I did travel in low season, not sure if it is more expensive at different times). But the room was clean and met all expectations, the hotel is conveniently located to walk to attractions as well as a bus stop literally right outside. I also used the rooftop onsen facilities and it was very nice. The staff was also very helpful and held luggage before and after our stay.
It would have been nice if our room was available a little early. We only arrived about an hour before check in and the hotel did not seem full or busy and the weather was very very bad, so I had been hoping we might get a room earlier. However, I also get the sense this is less common in Japan (I am from the US)

What was the highlight of Mitsui Garden Hotel Kanazawa
On the whole, the one-night stay was pleasant.
It was comfortable and the loop tourist bus stop is just a few steps away in front of the hotel.
I was asked to pay an extra 4000 yen city tax on top of what I have committed to pay under Booking.com. I was under the impression that the price under Booking.com included all taxes and levies. Therefore there was some disagreement between me and the counter-staff during check-in. The fact that the staff couldn’t speak proper English exacerbated the issue. In the end, I paid the extra cost but that left an unpleasant taste for me.

WE WENT FOR THE ONSEN BUT IT WAS CLOSED
Beautiful hotel, comfort of the room
The onsen at the last floor was close due to the heartquake of the previous days. Temperature of the hater in the hall very high.
